Stephanie works with families, entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals on estate planning, probate, trusts, asset protection, trademark law, business law, and corporate matters.
Planning for the future can feel complicated. For many families, it also comes with important questions about what happens to the people, businesses, and assets they’ve worked so hard to build. For Nidia Stephanie Rivera, helping clients navigate those decisions is one of the most meaningful parts of practicing law.
As a Partner at YourLegacy Legal, Stephanie works with families, entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals on estate planning, probate, trusts, asset protection, trademark law, business law, and corporate matters. Her approach is practical and personal: understand what matters to the client first, then build a legal strategy around it.
Stephanie believes good legal counsel goes beyond preparing documents or checking boxes. It requires understanding a client’s goals, family, business, concerns, and vision for the future.
Because at the end of the day, legal planning isn’t just about paperwork.
It’s about protecting people. It’s about protecting what you’ve built. And it’s about giving you the freedom to move forward with confidence.
Stephanie’s career has never followed a single, traditional path.
She graduated from law school at just 24 years old and began building her legal career with the same curiosity, ambition, and drive that continue to shape her professional life. Before the age of 30, she became a Partner at a growing law firm — an accomplishment that reflects not only her legal experience, but also her willingness to take on responsibility, learn quickly, and continuously look for ways to improve the way a firm serves its clients.
Since beginning her legal career, Stephanie has worked on a wide range of complex matters and represented clients from different backgrounds and industries. Her experience has required her to become comfortable learning quickly, solving problems creatively, and navigating situations where there is rarely a one-size-fits-all answer. That versatility has become one of her greatest strengths as an attorney.
Her role as a Partner reaches well beyond the legal work itself. She has helped develop internal processes, support strategic initiatives, mentor team members, improve the client experience, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm — working at the intersection of law, leadership, operations, and business development.
Outside of practicing law, Stephanie is deeply curious about the world and constantly looking for her next challenge. She has traveled to more than 28 countries and lived in eight countries throughout her life. Her time abroad has allowed her to experience different cultures, learn from people with very different perspectives, and become comfortable stepping outside of what is familiar.
She has a passion for travel, languages, culture, fitness, photography, and personal growth — and believes strongly in challenging herself outside of her comfort zone. Whether she is working toward a personal goal at the gym, learning something completely new, traveling somewhere unfamiliar, or pushing her physical limits through freediving, Stephanie approaches life with the same mindset she brings to her career.
For her, personal growth and professional growth are closely connected. She believes that the more experiences you have, the more perspectives you gain — and ultimately, the better you become at understanding and connecting with other people.
Stephanie’s legal background spans immigration, business law, corporate matters, trademarks, contracts, and estate planning. Over time, however, she found a particular connection to helping people protect their families, their assets, and the things they have spent years building.
For Stephanie, estate and legacy planning brings together many of the things she values most:
Whether she is helping someone prepare their first will, establishing a trust, navigating probate after the loss of a loved one, protecting assets, or helping a business owner think about succession, Stephanie approaches each matter by first understanding the person behind the legal problem.
She understands that no two families, businesses, or situations are exactly alike. Her goal is not simply to tell clients what the law says. It is to help them understand their options and make decisions that actually make sense for their lives.
Clients choose Stephanie because she brings together qualities that are not always found in the same attorney:
But perhaps most importantly, Stephanie listens. Her job is to ask the right questions, understand the bigger picture, explain the options clearly, and help clients make decisions that fit the life they are trying to build.
Because the best legal strategy isn’t necessarily the most complicated one. It’s the one that makes sense for you.
Whether you are creating your first will, setting up a trust, navigating probate, protecting a brand, planning a business succession, or thinking through an immigration strategy, Stephanie is ready to help.
